Saudi Arabian police have arrested four foreigners, including two Pakistanis, for running a hajj ghost company to rob pilgrims.

All four suspects were arrested in Mecca. Police revealed that the suspects were issuing fake Nusk cards, Hajj permits and other documents to people. Fake stamps of various government departments and computers were also recovered. The suspects were handed over to the prosecutor’s office, which is conducting further court proceedings against them.

As hajj rituals are scheduled to begin in Saudi Arabia on June 14, Saudi authorities have taken stringent measures against people attempting to perform hajj without proper permits. Security forces expelled approximately 300,000 unregistered pilgrims from Mecca.

According to international news sources, Saudi officials stressed the importance of meticulous planning and management to accommodate millions of pilgrims during the Hajj. Last year, 1.8 million pilgrims came to Mecca for the Hajj pilgrimage.

In recent days, the state news agency reported that 153,998 foreigners who entered Mecca on tourist visas instead of the mandatory hajj visas were expelled from the holy city. Additionally, Saudi authorities arrested 171,587 residents who were not Mecca residents and did not have the required pilgrimage permits.
