Police say death in Burnstead Drive area was accidental, not suspicious

Billings police said the death in the 1100 block of Sunnyside Lane was accidental and not suspicious.

Officers found a 43-year-old man dead inside a rental home. They are not looking for suspects and believe there is no threat to the community, according to Sergeant Jeff Stovall.

Billings Police Lt. Bret Becker said the deceased was a man in his 30s who was found in the common area of ​​a rental apartment in the 1100 block of Sunnyside Lane, which is connected to Burnstead Drive.

Becker said at the scene that given the position of the body and the injuries sustained, detectives were conducting further investigation.

The man was found in the house by another tenant, he said.

Police are not currently looking for a suspect, he added.

The residence is a small rental house on a cul-de-sac, with the only exit onto Burnstead Drive. Police said traffic was not disrupted due to the investigation.
