Milwaukee’s festivals galore this weekend » Urban Milwaukee

There’s more to be excited about this weekend than the return of the Packers football season. Check out Big Bounce America, the world’s largest inflatable party featuring slides, obstacle courses and more. TosaFest and Silver City Fest will feature live entertainment, vendors and plenty of food. Wildflowers on the Water will raise funds for educational programs and wildflower planting at Lakeshore State Park.

September 6-8: Big Bounce America

Billed as the world’s largest inflatable event, Big Bounce America will bring giant bouncy castles and more to Henry Maier Festival Park. Check out the world’s largest bouncy castle or take on The Giant, a 900-foot inflatable skill course with 50 different obstacles to overcome. September 6-7: TosaFest

Celebrate the city of Wauwatosa with three stages of live music, five beer gardens, a vendor market and more. There will be a variety of activities each day of the festival, including street painting and sangria making, as well as performances Landline telephone, Hungry Williamsthis Mark Croft’s Team and more. The festival also includes KidsFest with inflatable slides, cornhole and a balance bike track at Hart Park. TosaFest will begin Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. For more information, visit the Wauwatosa Village website.

September 7: Silver City Festival

The 13th annual Silver City Fest will be held on W. National Ave. between S. 32nd and S. 35th Streets and will celebrate local businesses, food and the arts scene. Check out live entertainment from MKE leaflets AND The Rising Dragonand shop from a variety of retailers like Lupo Designs, Midwest Paradise MKE, and more. Silver City Fest is free and starts at 12:00 p.m.

September 7: Selena’s Fiesta

Selena’s biggest Midwest festival will take place at The Farmhouse Paint & Sip and will feature local vendors, live music and interactive art exhibits. Fiesta Selena aims to leverage the singer and fashion designer’s platform Selena Quintanilla to support artists in southeastern Wisconsin. The festival will also feature step-by-step art classes, a Selena look-alike contest, dance classes and more. September 7th: Riverwest’s Big Garage Sale & Flea Market

More than 180 vendors will gather outside for Riverwest’s largest garage sale. Vendors will set up shop at 700 E. Burleigh Street in front of Art Bar and Wonderland. Shop vintage clothing, furniture, toys and more while sipping Bloody Marys and eating sandwiches from Wonderland’s express window. The sale is free to attend and will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit the Art Bar/Wonderland website for more information.

September 7: Wildflowers on the Water

The second annual Wildflowers on the Water event will bring live music, food trucks and artists to Lakeshore State Park. The event promotes a fundraiser for wildflower planting, educational programming and facilities at Lakeshore State Park. Watch a live performance by a cellist Malik Toureand participate in Take and Make activities hosted by DNR naturalists. Wildflowers on the Water is free to attend, but donations are welcome.
