If standing and clapping for more than 15 minutes seems too tiring for you, you might want to avoid film festivals, where standing ovations are becoming more and more epic.

The premiere of Pedro Almodovar’s The Room Next Door at the Venice International Film Festival recently received 17 minutes of applause, a fact widely reported in the showbiz media, where “standing room capacity” has become a staple in some art publications such as Vulture.
