Addressing the nation on the eve of Teachers’ Day, President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the vital role teachers play in shaping the future of the country by instilling moral values, critical thinking skills and a sense of societal responsibility in children.

In her message, President Murmu extended warm wishes to teachers across the country on the occasion of the birth anniversary of eminent educationist, philosopher and former President of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Murmu stressed the importance of modern teaching methods and strategic use of technology, as outlined in the National Education Policy 2020, to empower students to lead fruitful lives and contribute to building a developed nation. She urged teachers to continue their vital work in nurturing the minds of future leaders and guiding them towards excellence.
