Ocala leaders plan new fire station

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Ocala city leaders plan to add an eighth fire station near U.S. 27 and Northwest 45th Terrace.

The decision will be made after city council members vote to change the area’s zoning from general commercial use to government use at a Sept. 17 meeting.

The $3.5 million station will house three stations and seven employees.

City officials hope to complete the project by the end of next year.
