The competition consisted of two main categories: Most Beautiful Saker and Most Beautiful Gyr.

The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) held its annual Falcon Beauty Contest at The Arena on the 5th day of the event, showcasing some of the most beautiful falcons at the show. The event, held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, attracted falcon enthusiasts from around the world.

The competition featured 10 falcons, reflecting the UAE’s rich cultural heritage, where falconry is a symbol of pride, strength and tradition. The competition consisted of two main categories: the most beautiful saker falcon and the most beautiful gyrfalcon. The falcons were judged based on a variety of criteria, including weight and body measurements, symmetry and colour of feathers, head and body details, overall aesthetic appearance and health.

This year, the competition saw a remarkable increase in the quality and diversity of birds, reflecting ADIHEX’s commitment to improving the standards of falconry. Falcon chicks up to one year old competed, captivating the audience with their elegance and grace. A distinguished jury of local and international experts evaluated the falcons. The competition has gained a global reputation, attracting participants from renowned falcon farms around the world. It is highly regarded by regional and international organizations dedicated to heritage preservation and environmental conservation, motivating falconers to protect wild falcons.

In a remarkable display of falconry excellence, Eliasat triumphed in the category of Most Beautiful Gyr. Belonging to AD Falcons, the winning falcon captivated the judges with its exceptional characteristics, striking plumage and impeccable presentation. AD Falcons also took second and third place in this category.

In the category of the most beautiful Saker Falcons, Gelmod, another falcon belonging to AD Falcons, won first and second place. Third place was won jointly by AD Falcons and Al Sharagha Falcon, showcasing the grace, strength and impeccable training of their birds. This exceptional performance further strengthened AD Falcons’ reputation as a leader in the art of falconry.
