Elsinore officials will shed light on progress in trash removal and lake restoration

Lake Elsinore officials and the water treatment company that implemented a system earlier this year to eliminate algae and other contaminants in the 3,300-acre reservoir will hold a “Global Water Summit” every week starting Tuesday to showcase progress on the transformation.

The city’s partnership with Hawthorne-based Moleaer Inc. was announced just before Christmas, and within months the company had deployed its Nanobubble Generators system to begin purifying water, which Lake Elsinore Mayor Steve Manos called at the time an important step toward “progressive and sustainable change.”

“The Global Water Summit on September 10 will feature presentations, discussions and interactive sessions that will highlight the One Water approach to water treatment and the transformative impact of nanobubble technology on various treatment sites, including large reservoirs such as Lake Elsinore,” according to a statement from the borough. “Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the potential of this cutting-edge technology to address global water challenges and ensure a sustainable future for communities around the world.”
